Ms. Katie Zhong has worked in the financial sector for over 20 years; she has a long history of serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families and corporate in China, experienced in top-level strategic planning and execution, as well as family wealth management for corporations. She is a certified International Wealth Manager and an advanced Financial Planning Advisor.

She was the founder of Guangdong Henghua Insurance Agency Co., Ltd., and has been repeatedly honored with the “Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of Guangzhou” award. She is the global pioneer of the “Insurance Plan Customization System” which has been granted a national patent. Ms. Zhong holds the prestigious lifetime membership of MDRT TOT.

Tang Tang

Office Manager

Tang earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria’s Peter B. Gustavson Business School. Embarking on her career at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Tang cultivated extensive financial knowledge, complemented by valuable sales and customer service experiences. In 2014, Tang starts her journey with Canwa, where she commenced as a Marketing Assistant. Recognizing her capability, Tang earned a promotion to the role of Office Manager in 2017, and subsequently, in 2022, she achieved another milestone by ascending to the position of General Manager. In this capacity, she has spearheaded the oversight of operational and human resources functions with the Canwa Group.

Tiffany has been working with Canwa since 2011. After graduated from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Distinction in accounting, Tiffany worked for the Office of the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan and audited many agencies of the provincial Government in a range of
industries and government sectors. When she became a member of Canwa, Tiffany brought her extensive experience in the field Canadian personal income tax and Audit. As a Senior Accountant, Tiffany specializes in personal income tax, income tax audit, non-resident taxes, and foreign properties reporting. Tiffany is fluent and proficient in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Yvonne is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Regina. Yvonne started her professional career with Ernst & Young LLP as a tax specialist and auditor. Over her twelve years of public practice experience, she has accumulated extensive knowledge in taxation, auditing, and full cycle accounting. As a Senior Accountant in Canwa, Yvonne plays a lead role in the preparation of individual and corporation tax returns, specializes in foreign property reporting and real estate related tax issues for both Canadian resident and non-resident. Yvonne is fluent and proficient in both English and Mandarin.

After completed her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at the University of Simon Fraser, Vivienne devoted herself in the public practice industry ever since and obtained her CGA designation in 2012. As a Senior Accountant at Canwa, Vivienne brought her twelve years of experience of providing accounting and tax services to private companies in various industries. She specializes in providing comprehensive accounting services, including individual, corporate, partnership, and non-profit income tax returns, compilations, and payroll tax reports. Vivienne is fluent and proficient in English, Mandarin and Shanghainese.

Work closely with supervisors, participate as a senior team member in complex tax planning projects. Proactively understand client needs and collaborate with clients and other relevant professionals to formulate valuable tax planning and solution strategies.

  Under the guidance of supervisors, plan and organize the team’s preparation of individual and corporate tax filings and other related documents.

  Lead a client-focused team responsible for completing individual and corporate tax tasks in Canada.

  Prepare complex individual and corporate tax filings.

  Maintain high-level quality control by reviewing tax filings and other work completed by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  Ensure that all work is completed and documented according to our specified standards. Ensure timely invoicing.

  Provide new ideas and methods for improving workflow.

  Mentor junior accountants, including providing guidance and technical assistance, and offering real-time performance feedback for substandard work.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior position specializing in tax work in a public accounting firm.

Job Requirements:

– Practical experience in the income tax field, preferably in a public practice environment.

– Knowledge and work experience with CRA foreign reporting requirements is a plus.
